Refund Policy

Refunds/Exchanges may be processed in store at the SDSU Bookstore or shipped back to us at:

If you are returning an item to shopaztecs.com please complete the Return/Exchange Form you received with your shipment or print a new Return/Exchange and include it with the item(s) you are returning.

Clothing, Gifts, Supplies, and General Books

  • Clothing, Gifts, Supplies, and General Books are refundable within 30 days of purchase.
  • Merchandise must be in its original condition, clothing must be un-worn.
  • No Refunds, No Exchanges on the following items: General Catalogs, Gift Cards, Clearance Merchandise.
  • All in-store returns require a receipt or packing slip.

Course Materials/ Textbooks

  • Textbook refunds are accepted through the Add/Drop deadline of the semester; this includes Access Codes and Digital eTextbooks that have not been redeemed. Please call 619-594-7525 or refer to your receipt for the specific date. A receipt is required for ALL Textbook returns.
  • Montezuma Publishing custom textbooks can be returned in NEW condition only.
  • The following are not refundable: Textbooks with shrink wrap that are opened (usually including software), and opened clickers.
  • All rented textbooks are the property of the SDSU Bookstore and must be returned in good condition by the last day of finals of the current semester.
  • Failure to return the rental books by the due date will result in a charge to the customer of the difference between the purchase price of the textbook and the rental fee paid, plus a $30 late fee.

Computer Hardware, Software, Electronics & Accessories

  • All returns require a receipt & original packaging.
  • Computer hardware, electronics, headphones and accessories may be returned UNOPENED within 14 days from the date of purchase, original packaging required.
  • Manufacturer approved and verified defective computer hardware may be replaced within 5 days from the date of purchase.
  • Manufacturer verified defective peripherals may be replaced within 14 days from the date of purchase.
  • Refunds and exchanges are available on current product only.
  • All sales are subject to the terms expressed by the manufacturer.
  • Software and Licensed media is non-refundable.

Graduation Regalia

  • Due to the current pandemic, our regalia return policy is: No refunds on regalia removed from the original packaging or if worn to take photographs. Refunds are available on the Stole of Gratitude only if still in the original, sealed packaging. Legacy scholarship donation cords are non-refundable. Returns are accepted in-store, Monday – Thursday, 10 am – 2 pm or by mail, via UPS or USPS.
